Dr. Pol Dalmau is the new Humboldt Research Fellow at the IEG
GHRA_2016="margin-bottom:We warmly welcome Dr. Pol Dalmau as a visiting fellow at the IEG. From 01.03. he will spend two years at the Institute on the topic of "Global Journalism. The League of Nations and the Making of World Opinion ". The stay is supported by a research grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Pol Dalmau previously received a scholarship from the "Cañada Blanch Centre for Contempory Spanish Studies" at the London School of Economics and was a visiting scholar at the University of Pompeu Fabra (Spain) and New York University. In 2015, he obtained his doctorate at the European University Institute in Florence on the subject of "Clientelism, Politics and the Press in Modern Spain. The Case of Godó family and the founding of' La Vanguardia'".
Recently published "Press, Politics and National Identities in Catalonia. The Transformation of La Vanguardia, 1881–1931".
