Benedetta Serapioni defends successfully her thesis

We congratulate Benedetta Serapioni on the successful defence of her thesis at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Her viva took place yesterday with IEG Director Johannes Paulmann.
Benedetta Serapioni is an associate and was a research associate at the IEG from 2013 to 2016 in the project "Knowledge of the World - Heritage of Humanity: The History of UNESCO's World Cultural and Natural Heritage". She is doing her doctorate with the sub-project "Contested heritage, symbolic recognition: the Old City of Jerusalem and the beginnings of UNESCO World Heritage, 1955-1981".
