Digital Conference "Religionsfrieden im Kontext des frühneuzeitlichen Europa"
Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Literatur, Geschwister-Scholl-Str. 2, 55131 Mainz The interdisciplinary and international conference is the kick-off event for the long-term project "Europäische Religionsfrieden Digital (EuReD)" – "European Religious Peace Agreements - A Digital Edition", a cooperation between the Leibniz Institute of European History Mainz, the Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz and the University and State Library Darmstadt. The conference examines the significance of religious peace arrangements for the constitution and law in early modern Europe and the extent to which they affected the theory and practice of religious tolerance. Panels: I. The importance of religious peace settlements for law and constitution II. The importance of religious peace arrangements for peace practice III.
