60 minutes of DH: eScriptorium
Starting in January, the DH Lab of the IEG will host the new event series "60 minutes of DH" (2 - 3 pm). The kick-off event on January 26 is open to the public. We are happy to accept your registration. On the 4th Tuesday of each month, from 2 - 3 pm, the focus will be on a shared exploration of tools, methods, and literature from the field of DH, as well as insights into the international project landscape. The first event of the "60 minutes of DH" will take place on January 26 at 2pm, focusing on "eScriptorium". Peter Stokes from EPHE (École Pratique des Hautes Études) in Paris will present the features of the software developed for RESILIENCE, which supports automatic transcription of handwriting and has proven particularly useful for complex page layouts (e.g., texts that do not run from left to right). The presentation will be in English. Unlike the usually internal sessions of the new series, this event is open to the public, the link for registration can be found below (the number of participants is limited). In time for the start of the event, you will be sent a link to a virtual room in the "Big Blue Button" video conferencing system, which you can access via your browser without having to install any additional software.
