Venue: IEG in the Domus Universitatis, Alte Universitätsstr. 19, 55116 Mainz. On September 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the IEG invites everyone to get to know the house and its work. Guided tours of the historic Domus Universitatis and the exhibition "From the Cold War to European Upheaval. The Institute of European History 1950-1990". In the Institute's garden, our academics take a seat on the Science Sofa and present their research in short talks. In good weather outside, in bad weather in the conference room, all children and young people from the 5th grade upwards are invited to get to know and participate in the "Digital Map Workshop Old Empire" (DigiKAR) for Mainz. The mobile printing press of the Gutenberg Museum Mainz is another programme item for the whole family. The open day is part of the Science Week of the MAINZER WISSENSCHAFTSALLIANZ.
