Author reading with Dana Grigorcea
On 14 June at 20 p.m., the author Dana Grigorcea will read from her novel "Die nicht sterben" (Those who do not die), for which she received the Swiss Literature Prize in 2022. She will be accompanied musically by the award-winning saxophonist Alexandra Lehmler. Moderated by IEG-director Johannes Paulmann. At the beginning, the first-person narrator fears that she might mix up the order of events. Then she realises: every order makes sense. Because the story is not about cause or effect, but only about one thing: fate. Dana Grigorcea was born in Bucharest in 1979 and has lived with her family in Zurich for many years. She received the Swiss Literature Prize last year for her novel and was nominated for the German Book Prize in 2021. Alexandra Lehmler plays: The saxophonist was born in 1979 in Bad Ems (Lahn) and has lived in Mannheim for many years. She has been maintaining her own bands for over 20 years, with which she has successfully toured in Germany and abroad. In the meantime, eight albums have been released under her own name. She has received many awards for her artistic work.
