Public Lecture by Bernhard Gißibl as part of ‘Bingen liest ein Buch’ (‘Bingen reads a book’)

At the theme evening African Nature Conservation, IEG research associate Bernhard Gißibl will speak at the Bücherei³ in Bingen about the historical development of big game hunting and conservation practice in southern Africa. In his lecture he will contextualise big game hunting as a conservation practice historically and highlight current conflicts and issues. The event takes place as part of ‘Bingen liest ein Buch’ (‘Bingen reads a book’) and offers a look at the central theme of the novel ‘Trophäe’ (‘Trophy’) by Gaea Schoeters, which is at the centre of the city-wide campaign.
The lecture will be held in German. Participation is open to all who are interested.
