As an industrious and nation-building insect, the honeybee has what it takes to be a role model for humans - this has been a common assumption since ancient times. The hope of learning from bees politically, socially and spiritually has been expressed in Europe in ever new ways. The lecture is dedicated to this phenomenon from a historical perspective, but with reference to the present day. This event is part of the series “Mainz lebt auf seinen Plätzen”. It starts at 7 p.m. on the stage on the market square in front of the cathedral. Admission is free, registration is not required.
