Doctoral Fellow Olga Witmer has been awarded runner up for the 2019 Pollard Prize
Doctoral Fellow Olga Witmer has been awarded runner up for the 2019 Pollard Prize of the Institute of Historical Research (IHR) in London.

The Pollard Prize is awarded annually for the best paper given at an IHR seminar by a PhD candidate or postdoctoral researcher. Olga Witmer presented her paper entitled »Clandestine Lutheranism in the eighteenth-century Dutch Cape Colony« at the IHR in January 2019 following extensive archival research in Germany, the Netherlands and South Africa. Witmer wins a fast-track publication in the prestigious IHR journal »Historical Research« and a selection of books. Her article will appear online by the beginning of 2020.
