IEG director Irene Dingel to chair Scientific Commission of the »Akademienunion«

Irene Dingel, director of the department »Abendländische Religionsgeschichte« at the IEG, was voted chairwoman of the Scientific Commission of the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities (Akademienunion).

On their website, the Union states: »The Union’s scientific commission is the central advisory body on all scientific questions concerning the Academies Programme.«

Congratulations and all the best wishes to our director for the chairmanship. Irene Dingel became director of the Leibniz Institute of European History in 2005 and currently supervises the research projects »Controversia et Confessio« and »European Religious Peace Agreements – A Digital Edition«.
