Johannes Paulmann elected Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Centre Marc Bloch

Johannes Paulmann, Director of the IEG, was elected Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Center Marc Bloch on March 28, 2022.
The Center Marc Bloch is a Franco-German research center for the humanities and social sciences based in Berlin with the status of a French research institute abroad and an affiliated institute of the Humboldt University in Berlin.

As a bi-national institution, it serves interdisciplinary research and the training of young scientists. Half of its scientific advisory board is made up of German and half French personalities. The German members are appointed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the French members by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEAE), the Center national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) and the French Ministry of Education and Research (MESRI). Johannes Paulmann was elected as chairman by the members of the advisory board from among themselves.
