IEG calls for applications for IEG Fellowships for Doctoral Students

The IEG is awarding fellowships for doctoral students from Germany and abroad. IEG Fellowships provide a unique opportunity to pursue and finalize individual PhD projects while living and working at the Institute in Mainz for 6–12 months. Funding is available for research projects from the early modern period to contemporary history that deal with the religious, political, social and cultural history of Europe. Applications for a research stay from March 2026 can be submitted until 15 August 2025.
