Review of »Return and Circular Migration in Contemporary European History«

A review of the anthology Return and Circular Migration in Contemporary European History has been published on H-Soz-Kult. Edited by Sarah Oberbichler, Eva Pfanzelter, and Valerio Larcher, the volume opens up new perspectives on return migration in Europe. In her review, Agnes Gehbald, Department of History, University of Bern, highlights the topicality and novelty of the volume. She also emphasizes that »digital historical remigration studies [...] offer a promising approach to investigating the history of return migration.«
Dr. Sarah Oberbichler has been a research associate at the IEG in the DH Lab (Digital Humanities Lab) since April 2024.
