Research Network: The Struggle for Reconciliation: The Interplay between Religion and Politics in the Relation between Germany and Poland in the Period 1945-2010In December 2016 this international research network finished successfully its activities. The network consisted of scholars of Protestant and Catholic theology as well as history and political science. The main purpose of the network was to develop a methodological and theoretical approach for analysis of the specific character of reconciliation as a process on the intersection between religious and political sphere.
The network was funded by the German-Polish Research Foundation (Deutsch-Polnische Wissenschaftsstiftung, DPWS) and realized in institutional cooperation of Leibniz Institute of European History and the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW). The publication of the network’s research results is planned for the end of 2017.
