Book by IEG founding director Joseph Lortz now available in digitized version

A digitized version of Joseph Lortz’s book »Bernhard von Clairvaux, Mönch und Mystiker. Internationaler Bernhardkongreß Mainz 1953« is now available in the digital library of ULB Darmstadt. The book was published as part of the VIEG series by the Steiner publishing house in 1955.

Joseph Lortz was a church historian, co-founder of the Institute of European History and, from 1950 to 1975, director of the department »Abendländische Religionsgeschichte«.
