Human Resources & Organisation

The Human Resources & Organisation department at the Leibniz Institute of European History in Mainz sees itself as a reliable partner for around 65 employees.

The focus is on providing comprehensive support throughout the entire employee lifecycle – from recruiting new talent and onboarding to offboarding support. In close cooperation with managers, issues relating to labour, collective bargaining and civil service law are clarified, including cooperation with the works council.

An essential part of the work is the promotion of personnel development through targeted training opportunities that support the professional development of employees. In addition, comprehensive health management is offered, with support in the area of occupational medicine to ensure a healthy working environment.

The department also processes travel expense claims and approves work and service contracts with individuals. It also acts as a point of contact for trainees within the institute and supports their start and development at the institute.

These diverse initiatives actively contribute to an inspiring and cooperative work culture that strengthens the high scientific level and international cooperation at the institute.
