Current Call for Applications for Doctoral Students (until 15.02.2026)
The Senior Research Fellowship Programme is aimed at renowned researchers from abroad. The IEG also accepts visiting researchers who receive grants from other funding organizations or who are self-financed.
Various funding programmes are available in Germany for researchers at risk or researchers with refugee status. The Leibniz Institute of European History is committed to welcoming and supporting Scholars at Risk. We are happy to support academics with a suitable research profile by submitting a joint application for appropriate third-party funding.
