Visiting Fellows

The IEG warmly welcomes externally-funded or self-funded researchers at all career levels who wish to conduct their research and writing activities in Mainz. Subject to availability, they may reside either within the Institute building or in one of the guest apartments.

Stay at the IEG

• Stays ranging from a few weeks to several months are possible
• Affordable rent in our residency (monthly rent of €300) or our fully equipped guest apartment in the old town of Mainz (monthly rent of €750)
• Use of a shared office
• Opportunity to present your research project at the weekly research colloquium
• Opportunity to use the Institute’s academic infrastructure and participate in all activities
