The IEG has been involved in the national collaborative project DARIAH-DE with various areas of work since 2011. DARIAH-DE supports research in the humanities and cultural studies that works with digital methods and procedures. As a partner in DARIAH-EU, DARIAH-DE contributes to bundling and networking state-of-the-art activities in the digital humanities across Europe.
Together with 15 partner institutions, the IEG is committed to the sustainable operation and long-term continuation of DARIAH-DE within the framework of an operational cooperation agreement. In the years 2019 to 2021, the two research infrastructures DARIAH-DE and CLARIN-D were merged into the joint infrastructure CLARIAH-DE. In this way, researchers in the humanities and cultural studies are provided with easier access to scientific work using complex digital tools and specialized data resources. Within this framework, the IEG participates in the operation and further development of the infrastructure with tasks related to dissemination and training offerings in the field of digital humanities.
