| Forschungsthema: | Between Rome and Berlin: Italian–German Rivalry within the Independent State of Croatia |
| "Building upon my previous research on Italian–Croatian relations, this project examines the rivalry between Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany within the Independent State of Croatia. Particular attention will be devoted to the competing perceptions of sovereignty, occupation policies, and the persecution of civilians. To address these questions, the project will cross-reference sources of various origins, with particular emphasis on German diplomatic and military correspondence. The research stay at the Leibniz Institute will therefore be combined with archival research in Berlin in order to integrate a broader range of primary sources and perspectives." |
