Visiting Fellows

The IEG also accepts visiting researchers who are self-funded or receive scholarships from other funding organisations. Depending on availability, researchers can stay in the dormitory in the institute building or in the guest apartments.

Stay at the IEG

• Stays ranging from a few weeks to several months are possible
• Affordable rent in our dormitory (300 euros/month) or our fully equipped guest apartment in the old town of Mainz (750 euros/month)
• Use of a shared office
• Opportunity to present your research project at the weekly research colloquium
• Opportunity to use the institute’s scientific infrastructure and participate in all activities

Application and selection

Applications are welcomed at any time.

The Executive Board decides on the acceptance of interested parties as visiting fellows.
