In conversation with our research associate Dr. Jared N. Warren, he discusses academic life and teaching under wartime conditions, diaries and dreams as historical sources, and the role of the media in the formation of the Soviet person.

Last autumn, Bohdan Shumylovych visited our institute  to present his project, “Urban Life in the Age of Cybernetic Governance: Power and Control in the Socialist City”. His visit was part of a nationwide lecture series for endangered scholars from Ukraine, organized by Science at Risk and the Leibniz Research Network Central and Eastern Europe.
