On November 6, 2015, mainzed, the Mainz Center for Digitality in the Humanities and Cultural Sciences, was founded as a network of six partner institutions. Since then, mainzed has developed a strong profile in the areas of digital methods, data management, and humanities research, paving the way for participation in the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI).
As Johannes Paulmann, spokesperson for NFDI4Memory and director of the Leibniz Institute for European History (IEG), emphasizes, “With the DH Lab and NFDI4Memory, we have established digitality at the IEG in recent years, and the many employees who have come to us from abroad find an ideal environment in the mainzed network.”
