Sarah Panter, research associate at the IEG, has successfully completed her habilitation colloquium. The topic of her lecture was “Contested Legitimate Political Order: A History of High Treason in the Weimar Republic.” Subsequently, the Faculty Council of Department 07 at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz granted her the teaching qualification (venia legendi) for Modern History. She completed her habilitation thesis within the DFG-funded project “Transatlantic Families: The Lives of German Revolutionary Refugees, 1848/49–1914,” which she has been leading since 2022.
