Moritz Schmeing has been a Research Associate at the Leibniz Institute of European History (IEG) in Mainz since June 2026, working in the research project “Ambivalent Pasts: On Jewish Colonial Experiences.” From 2020 to 2026, he was a doctoral researcher at the Dubnow Institute. Between 2021 and 2024, his doctoral research was funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation, and he subsequently held a doctoral scholarship from the Ettersberg Foundation. In 2025, he also worked as a student research assistant in the collaborative project “Das Objekt zum Subjekt machen. Jüdische Alltagskultur in Deutschland vermitteln.
