Dr. Theol. Hanna-Maija Ketola made her doctoral studies (Church History) in the Faculty of Theology at the University of Helsinki. At the present, she works at the University of Helsinki as Senior Advisor in Research Affairs. Her lecture will concentrate on the topic of her doctoral dissertation dealing with relations between the Church of England and the Russian Orthodox Church during the Second World War. The Anglo-Soviet Alliance offered those churches a long-waited possibility to be in contact with each other. In her lecture Dr. Ketola tells especially about the roles played by the Church of England, the British Ministry of Information and Foreign Office.
