Neuerscheinung: Jahrbuch für Europäische Geschichte / European History Yearbook 16 (2015) – jetzt in englischer Sprache und seit 2014 im Open Access.

Volume 16 of the European History Yearbook on »Mobility and Biography« (ed. by Sarah Panter) has been published (<< http://www.degruyter.com/viewbooktoc/product/456893 >>).

Buchcover_ForestaWith its transnational approach to “mobility and biography,” this volume brings together research on the subject of transnational lives across different times and spaces to open up new interdisciplinary perspectives. Networks, movements and the capacity to become socially or spatially mobile in and across Europe are not only analysed as structural factors, but rather seen as connected to concrete practices of mobility among different groups in the spheres of business, politics and the arts: from Jewish merchants via legal and financial advisors all the way to musicians.

The European History Yearbook is edited at the Leibniz Institute of European History by Johannes Paulmann in cooperation with Markus Friedrich (Hamburg) and Nick Stargardt (Oxford). Since 2014 it is in Open Access and now in English.
